India seems to have two seasons: hot and monsoon. We entered the monsoon season about a month ago when the first rains in 8 months began. It now rains almost daily, but is so wonderfully refreshing and renewing.
Well, on one dry afternoon, my husband, brother and I were walking back from lunch at a cute little deli here. On this rare afternoon, I found myself wearing a white sundress. I seldomly wear dresses here, and particularly don’t chance white in this somewhat less-than-clean city. However, I was feeling summery and adventurous, so had decided to wear my white little number. Well, big mistake. Not 50 yards from the safety of our apartment, I felt something hit my head and fall onto my white dress…crow poop.
Not two days later, my brother and I decided to go on a walk down to Sassoon Docks, where all the fresh fish are brought in daily by the local fishing boats. As we were walking out on the pier, I felt something warm land on my arm. I had been struck again. Two points for the crows.
This is hilarious!
I can totally relate! When I was in India, there were crows everywhere!
