Surrounded by a wonderful team in the United States, I, with my husband, was able to move overseas this year to India to work on our sourcing and our supplier relationships.  For as long as I can remember, living overseas in a developing country has been a shared dream of Jim and mine.  In college, we both sought out opportunities, independent of one another, to live and study overseas and knew that this was something we wanted to share in our married life together.  Already having relationships with suppliers in India, and with India being one of the leading craft centers in the world, I hoped that this was a place JL Lane could really grow.

Well, seven months later, we have fallen in love with this chaotic and intense country and JL Lane’s product line is expanding at the seams.  Now that we have our blog, I will be able to share funny experiences as they happen (and they happen A LOT here), update you on new samples and lines we are prepping to launch, and, hopefully, bring a piece of India into your homes across the ocean.
